This is my little slice of non-reality. I vent here, I say petty things here, I say what I'm feeling pretty much without thinking. I don't say things here to be judged. Friend me and I'll try to do the same for you.

Respond to this post and I will give you the three words I think most accurately describe you. Then you have to return the favor by posting this in your own journal.

My new roommate taught me to make chicken Parmesan from scratch last night. It was bloody tasty and the perfect end to a fun day?
We have a President of color . . .
We have a President that can say nuclear right. [nu⋅cle⋅ar] / [noo-klee-er]!I was a little depressed I couldn't vote because of the move. (I registered to vote in Georgia on campus, but my voters card never came in. + I never really had . . . transportation during the early voting.)
The 44th President . . .
Dunno what's going to happen in the next four years, but at least there's going to be a change.
And I'm curious to know what sort of prank Bush is going to pull in the White House. I.E. When Clinton relinquished the White House to Bush, he pulled all the "W" keys off every keyboard in the building.
Oh, my first day of work begins today. I filled paperwork out yesterday, but I could not stay. My ride wouldn't be able to pick me up after training. So I'll be going in this afternoon. I think I'm going to be the evening shift leader. Yay? Nervous and excited. It's not much, but it's something.
And I'm driving stick again. My friend is going to have to let me use the car because my work starts and ends first. Eep. Missouri has hills!
Must practice some today. AND not get lost. Woooooooooow!

| Dragon*con and other things . . . |

Thursday afternoon, the guys from City of Villians (Montgomery, AL crew) drove up. We all chilled out until registration opened a little before 4 o'clock. Got out passes. (Hahahaha! The line was still insane, and pre-reg took longer than those who just showed up to buy their passes.) Then I checked into the hotel. Note to self, next year, I need to get Sunday night for the hotel. I NEED to, it sucked checking out Sunday morning. We thought there was going to be a concert with Voltaire, but that was a typo on the Dragon*con schedule. So we ended up having a few drinks in the Hyatt bar until they closed down. Electric Lemonade is tastey. And I'm a light weight. Thankfully Kroger is open 24/7 so we got the makings for some very tastey tacos! I can cook drunk, thank you very much. Blah, the rest of the weekend was a blur. I ran around the convention with Droid because I've never really had a "complete" Dragon*con experience. We caught the tail end of the Steampunk Panel (it was packed by the time we got there and had to wait for room). There were some really good costumes in the Steampunk Panel. Then there was the Cruxshadows panel that made me all swoony! We got to hear two songs never played in public before. And indepth interviews with the new band members. Johanna is like my biggest heroine.Friday night we got to see Voltaire in concert! I got to lean right on the stage and listen to him!!!!!!! He asked me to fix his top hat once, but I did it wrong. LOL. Tipsy Aerie put it on straight and he said, "Silly girl, that's not how you wear a top hat." And at the end of the concert, I gave him a sip from my flask and he puked on stage . . . "What is that, bleach?!?" Ooops. Saturday, we got free swag at the City of Heroes panel. They literally threw stuff at us. Also waited in line from 8 o'clock in the afternoon for the midnight concert for Cruxshadows. Was so worth it! Next year, I'm planning to bring munchies and drinks and make a huge sign. "LINE STARTS HERE!" So people will get the clue. We had people trying to skip us in line. It was so funny. Made some interesting friends in line at least. Sunday was Forest of Doors. Droid and Alchemy enjoyed it. They're bringing more friends for the game. YAY! So all and all, the convention was good. I'm suffering from con crud, but it was worth it!

I'm currently making two books for Dragon*con, which is cool, I think I can get it done despite the large amount of school work I have this semester.
My real concern is that I've convinced a friend to play FoD at Dragon*con and I need a costume for him.
Nothing too over the top, just Empire of Perfect Unity. Bleh.
On a second note, I think I yanked something badly in my shoulder when I was running around town doing errands on Wednesday. I had Baby Jones with me in the car seat and had to carry her into Publix. I felt something pull and now it hurts to lift my arm over my head.
A bummer because I carry about fifty pounds of crap on campus every Tuesday and Thursday. *wince* So sore. I hope this doesn't affect Dragon*con.

I arrived home from my road trip to Alabama at 9:02 am EST. I saw the Dark Knight last night and had some heartfelt good byes with my friends. And then, as I was crawling off to bed, I had to slap my head and kick myself in the butt. Central time zone. Coming back to Georgia made me lose an hour. So instead of my initial plan of leaving at 6 o'clock to get back around 8:30, I ended up leaving around 5 o'clock to get back around 9. I was groggy and had to stop once for coffee. I-85 is a long straight road with construction and a high speed limit. Lets just say some friends got phone calls this morning as I began to get road hypnotism. But the weekend was gloriously wonderful and I've don't believe I've felt this good in a very /very/ VERY long time. My friend's had an adorable half cat/half minx with the lil stubby tail that tried to make me his all weekend. And I in turn tried to keep him forever and ever, alas my friend said no. And mrwerewolf cannot handle cat dander. But someday! I've got some GREAT material for comics. So keep an eye out. I didn't get time to scan and ink one for this morning, but one will be up this afternoon or evening. Fish in Bowl! As usual.
